Black History Month Story-time Series

Ms. Downing will be hosting story-time in honor of Black History Month, for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grades, on the following days February 7, 21, and 28. Story-time will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the PAS library. Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend with their children.

Ads for grads are on sale through March 2. Ads cost $10 for 25 words or less. The limt is five per student. See the form for more information.

Early Dismissal for Report Card Conferences

School is dismissed early for report card conferences. Lower school parents meet with teachers by appointment. Middle school conferences are held according to this schedule:

6th Grade: Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1-3 p.m.

7th Grade: Thursday, Feb. 15, 1 -3 p.m.

8th Grade: Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1-3 p.m.

All Grades: Wednesday, Feb. 14, 5 - 7 p.m.

Box Tops for Education

Help raise money for PAS by saving Box Tops for Education! Look for the Box Tops rectangle on items you regularly purchase for your home. Clip it and send it to school. PAS can redeem each Box Top for 10 cents. They can be found on cereals, Ziploc bags, Pillsbury and Betty Crocker desserts, Yoplait, Juicy Juice, Kleenex, Cottenelle, Hefty products, and more. Pay for the 4th Grade Trip


The fourth grade will go to Lancaster and Hershey on Monday, May 14, 2018. The trip is $72/person. Pay here or at the office, in person or via the Pony. Open the attached for more information. Students must return signed permission slips in order to go on the trip.

This fee will ensure that more of the funds raised can be put towards student programming and associated expenses.

HSA Meeting

Meeting will include brief updates from the HSA, SAC, Wellness Committee and Equity Circle. After, you will have the chance to talk with representatives from those groups in an informal setting to learn more about what they are working on and how you can get involved. The next few months will be busy at PAS and we need your help planning and organizing the Talent Show, Art Celebration (a new event), the 5K Race and more. Plus find out more about running for the HSA board. Stop in anytime between 6-7:30 p.m.

Art Event Volunteers Needed

This spring, the HSA is planning a special Art Event to highlight the addition of our art program at PAS. Our amazing student art work will be on display. If you are interested in joining a committee to help plan this exciting event, please email Mr. Farrell.

Volunteers Needed for Ice Skating Party

The annual PAS Ice Skating Party will be held at Penn's Class of 1923 rink on Friday, March 2 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door, and including skate rental. Pizza, snacks and hot chocolate will be sold at the rink.
