Dear Parents and Students of PAS:
 
How does your garden grow? With the warm weather upon us the PAS garden is a great place to visit. We would like to remind everyone that when having fun in the garden, please respect the growth areas:

Mural Dedication for The Wonders of Radio

Join the Mural Arts Program and WXPN as we dedicate The Wonders of Radio, the newest mural in "the Sounds of Philadelphia: The Power of Music" series, which celebrates Philadelphia's deverse music legacy and the award-winning children's radio program Kids Corner, hosted by Kathy O'Connell.

Summer Reading 2009

Every Penn Alexander Student in grades 1-8 are required to complete Summmer Reading. There are a limited supply of books on sale for $5 each in the main office. Once we sell out, there will be copies of the books for sale at the Penn Bookstore at 36th and Walnut St. Here is the summer reading list for 2009. You can also order most of these books from our Amazon affiliate site. The HSA receives a small percentage of each sale.

Penn Alexander School wishes to create an urban green space, where students and their families can learn sustainable urban gardening techniques.  This garden, with the aid of the community, will provide nourishing fruits and vegetables, as well as offer a place of natural beauty for all to enjoy.
